Elements Jazz
Who would you choose, really important for me?
i dance in a group
but our group has a lot of members, so we divided it into two
and we have two groups dancing the same chareography
the thing is i was the main female dancer of the second group and there is this girl who is the main dancer in the other group
2 weeks later we have a big show and whole group will perform at the same time
i don't want to give my position to anyone
so who would you choose if you were the director;
1 dancer: started dancing atl the age of 5, experienced ballerina. 24 years old, also a folk dancer
2 dancer: dances till the age of 7: ex- ballerina (danced ballet five years till 12), also dances hip hop, ballroom and latin, salsa specialist, 19 years old
the dance style of the group is lyrical, also has elements from jazz and ballet
so what is your desicion?
yes i know it depends on the performance
but unfortunately she is a good dancer
and i cannot judge myself
i believe we are both good since we are the chosen ones
I am a dance teacher and it really depends on who shows more emotion. Lyrical should tell a story so who is the better story teller? Most would say the ballerina, but its not always the right choice, being the salsa and hip hop dancer may show more performance skills. Personally I am routing for the hip hop dancer, it is more impressive for her to show how many different styles she can do. No offense if you are the ballerina. Good luck.
P.S next time you preform before the director picks; show more emotion in the face and have nice clean tech. you may pull ahead!
