Looking at chord signatures on sheet Music When it notes a F(add2) or (4) what is the fingering from the root?

I've never seen a chord with add2/add4. only add9. Are you sure it's not a suspended chord? sus2 and sus4?

Well, anyway... Your root chord is F-A-C. By asking you to add/sus the 2nd or the 4th, you just add the 2nd or the 4th note in the scale. In this case f sus2, it would be F-G-C... so you could straddle F-G with your thumb and use 4 or 5 for the C... in f sus4 it's F-Bflat-C, and I would use thumb,4,5... Depending on your upper melodic needs for the piece.
