Recommendation for a beginner's book on learning Javascript?
Hi,
I've learned beginner to intermediate HTML and CSS using some good books and would like to learn Javascript. Can anyone suggest a good book for a beginner (maybe one that offers a little handholding)? Thank you.

The O'Reilly book linked in the "books" section of the right nav-bar is THE book (I've never known a professional JavaScript developer who didn't own it - I own it in two editions, 3rd and 5th) but it's not for the faint of heart as of the fifth edition.
Andy Harris teaches this stuff and offers what may be more "hand-holdy" intro texts ( "For Dummies" brand):
